How to find the WarehouseArt studio
Warehouseart, Station
House, Levisham, North Yorkshire, YO18 7NN. Tel: 01751 470112
You can arrive in style by steam train from stations at Pickering,
Goathland (pronounced with a ‘th’ not a ‘t’!)
or Grosmont (pronounced with a ‘w’ not a ‘s’!!)
or even – during the Summer from Whitby station.
Others
arrive by road (via the Pickering to Whitby road turn off through
Lockton. Go through the hilltop Levisham village and on for a mile
and a half down a beautiful descent to the station.
The
hardy and healthy arrive on foot via the myriad of paths and tracks
across the magnificent moors. Every hour a train stops at the station,
then it is time for the famous Levisham peace-and-quiet when some
visit the tea hut (if open) or browse my pictures, or just sit
on the station benches in the sunshine soaking up the calmer karma…

A studio on a railway station at the bottom
of a remote dale with only three other buildings nearby may not
seem the obvious choice – unless you’ve already been
to this timeless Yorkshire hideaway!

When trains are running - (weekends until January 3rd 2008 - see
NYMR website for timetables) I’m
open between 10.00 and 18.00 everyday, and I’m usually here
painting when the trains are not running. If
you want to make sure, please feel free to ring first on 01751 470112
or just drop in. |
