 About WarehouseArt & Christopher Ware

Christopher Ware is the country’s first professional Artist in Residence on a steam railway - the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
As a landscape and railway artist he lives and works in the heart of the North York Moors national park in the north of England. He is best known for his watercolour railway paintings as well as his atmospheric land- and sea-scapes of the country he loves.

Each day he welcomes visitors to his open studio at Levisham Station on the North York Moors steam railway, where some of his locomotive subjects pass just a few feet from where he works. Chris is happy to undertake commissions and has painted 'portraits' of many people's homes. He always enjoys a fresh challenge.
